• Communicate with volunteers in a professional manner at all times.
  
  
• Take positive notice of volunteer efforts at every opportunity.
  
  
• Take care not to involve volunteers in disagreements between staff members.
  
  
• Provide volunteers with specific tasks and all information and materials needed for them to carry out their assignments.
  
  
• Respond promptly to any concerns raised by volunteers.
  
  
• Make every effort not to waste volunteer time.
